2007 iCS Conference in Florence

This year’s Information, Communication and Society (iCS) Conference will be held at the University of Florence, Italy. It is being organized by the Department of Political Science at the University of Florence, in collaboration with the Social Informatics Research Unit (SIRU) in the Department of Sociology at the University of York. Brian Loader, the editor of iCS, is key to the organization of the event, in addition to iCS being the lead sponsor. The event is one of many means that the journal has used to reinforce its commitment to increasing international scholarly contributions.

The conference will focus on: Changing Politics through Digital Networks. I’d encourage anyone with a serious interest in the political implications of information and communication technologies to consider submitting a paper to this conference. iCS conferences are kept at a manageable scale to enable interaction and networking around the conference theme. Do consider this opportunity to present and hear about developing research.
