A Perspective from the Academic and Physician – Alex Jadad

Professor Alex Jadad is a scholar and physician who has just expanded his reach with a book that provides his perspective on living a healthy life. Its titled Unlearning, and it is available online.

Professor Jadad is the Rose Family Chair in Supportive Care, and Canada Research Chair in eHealth Innovation in the Departments of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Public Health Sciences, and Anesthesia Staff Physician at Princess Margaret Hospital. Still, he has taken the time to reflect on how to keep one’s perspective on life, through such activities as building on your social networks, and looking at ‘games as an enactment of life.’ For one who views the unfolding course of policy and practice as the outcome of an ecology of games, this is of course a view that I find more than a useful metaphor.I recommend it.
